Mabel Busaniche is a prestigious popular educator and a feminist activist from Santa Fe, Argentina. She holds an MA degree in gender studies.
She has an impressive track record in accompanying popular education and gender processes in her country, in Latin America and in the Caribbean. Her career led her to start and coordinate, in her province, the Comprehensive Sexuality Education Programme (ESI for its acronym in Spanish ), from the Ministry of Education.
Today, she is a member of the NGO called Asociación Civil Palabras, which focuses on gender violence, women’s sexual and reproductive health and women’s integration in the labour market. She is also an active member of Multisectorial de Mujeres de Santa Fe and of the Campaña Nacional por el Derecho al Aborto Legal, Seguro y Gratuito (National Campaign for Legal, Safe and Free Abortion).

Popular education must be understood as a contribution to the fight o struggle of popular organisations. Yet another tool that is part of that fight o struggle . It is about enhancing what daily life, with its demands and fights o struggles, teaches us.
